This wall is built mainly of locally sourced Stockton Sandstone, the Triassic sandstone widely used as a historic building stone in central and lower parts of Bucks County. The stones has various hues: buff, tan to gray-brown, and reddish-brown, with iron staining and rough granular surfaces. T
The masonry is roughly coursed rubble. Mason shaped the stone enough to create flat bedding surfaces. Larger oblong blocks are combined with smaller stones and spalls, giving the wall a plain but carefully organized vernacular character. Masons pointed the stone with a beveled-ridge joint.
